  • How does the doctor keep up-to-date on all of the current techniques and materials?
    Dr. Michael Strugurescu is an Associate in Dentistry with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Like all dentists in Canada, Dr. Strugurescu is extensively educated and trained, and he follows the latest research in his field. He loves acquiring the latest technology and takes the time to train and learn about these tools before implementing them into his practice.   • How can I ask Dr. Strugurescu questions directly?
    Dr. Strugurescu welcomes any of your questions during your visit. Before your visit, you can also call our office to ask him questions directly.
  • What are smile analysis and smile design?
    In a smile analysis, Dr. Strugurescu looks at all the factors that compose a smile: the shape of the smile, the size, the smile line, and the position of your teeth, lips and gums when you smile. He’ll listen to what you want to accomplish and any concerns you may have. He’ll review the smile design results with you and discuss the next steps to make it happen.
  • I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?
    There are a variety of ways to improve the appearance of your teeth without braces. We offer Invisalign® to help straighten your teeth. In some cases, we may recommend one of our other cosmetic services, such as bonding or porcelain veneers. If you would like to enhance the appearance of your smile, call us so we can schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Strugurescu.
  • At what age should my children first see a dentist?
    We would like to see children after their third birthday. At this time, we will perform just a visual exam to see how their teeth are doing. When your child is older, we will perform a more comprehensive exam.
  • Crowns, veneers, onlays, inlays and partials…where can I learn more about these procedures?
    Dr. Strugurescu usually recommends these procedures as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. They are more durable, easy on your mouth, and aesthetically appealing. Our patient library has several articles on these services, and you can read more about them there. If you are curious about any procedures we recommend, we welcome your questions.   • I brush every day, but my breath just is not fresh. Is there anything I can do?
    There are many reasons your breath might not be fresh. If you want to improve your breath, our dental hygienist will be happy to review your brushing and flossing habits with you and suggest ways to improve your technique. If your breath is still a problem, there are other options that are available to you. First, we must determine the underlying cause of the problem, and then we can prescribe a treatment that works best for you.
  • Do you accept referrals?
    Yes, we always welcome new patients to our office.
  • What different payment options do you provide?
    Our office accepts cash, debit, cheque and credit cards such as MasterCard and Visa. Any amount not covered by your insurance is your responsibility.
